In response to a recommendation from the Book Industry Strategy Group the Australian Government has established the Book Industry Collaborative Council (BICC).

The Book Industry Collaborative Council will focus on improving efficiency in the Australian Book Industry's supply chain.  Margaret Allen and Evelyn Woodberry will represent the library sector on the council.  

The BICC has created several expert reference groups to progress the work of the council.  Of specific relevance to the library sector is the E-Lending Expert Reference Group and the Copyright Expert Working Group.  For further information please refer to the National and State Libraries Australiasia website.
