Wheelers ePlatform

Wheelers ePlatform is a relatively new aggregator platform in the Australian market place.  The product has been widely embraced by public libraries due to a competitive business model.     

 

In January 2014 ReadersFirst published, A Guide to Library E-Book Vendors which is available for free.   The guide will be particularly useful to those libraries that do not as yet offer eBooks to their communities and libraries contemplating expanding their existing offerings.  eBook vendors are objectively rated in accordance to the key principals advocated by the ReadersFirst coalition. 

 

Pay Model Libraries pay a one off $2.00 DRM fee per title.  Where the title is sold under a perpetual access license, the library will incur no further access related fee's for the item for the duration of the platforms existence.  
Ownership Model  No ( a library can not move content from the platform at a latter date)
Administration Fee

one off $2.00 DRM fee per title and selection fee also levied ($250 per $5000 selected).  No ongoing fees
