Bolinda Digital

 

Bolinda Digital is an Australian publisher and distributor of eAudio content.  In 2010 Bolinda launched an online eAudio platform called Bolinda Digital.  The product is a premium solution and provides the library and client with an easy to use interface and wide selection of popular Australian fiction and non fiction content.  Bolinda stipulates a recommended opening collection which is based on the population served.  Acquisition options include: title by title, approval plans and genre based collection.
 
Bolinda now offer eBooks on their digital content platform.  In 2013/14 Bolinda declined to continue participation in the NSW.net Consortia Opt-in scheme.       
 
In January 2014 ReadersFirst published, A Guide to Library E-Book Vendors which is available for free.   The guide will be particularly useful to those libraries that do not as yet offer eBooks to their communities and libraries contemplating expanding their existing offerings.  eBook vendors are objectively rated in accordance to the key principals advocated by the ReadersFirst coalition

Publisher Content Bolinda Audio & ABC Audio titles (Bolinda negotiates with mainstream publishers for the licensing rights  to convert titles to an Audio format), 4000 eBook titles. The eBook component of Bolinda Digital is scheduled for release in 2013.  Allen & Unwin and Pan Macmillan are listed as suppliers of content.

At present Bolinda digital is compatible with any Apple or Android device that can download the BorrowBox or Bluefire Reader app. It is important to note that, currently, Windows tablets and smart phones are not compatible with this eBook collection
